Set up domain email on iPhone

These steps use the built-in iOS Mail app. Create the mailbox in cPanel and test Webmail before you begin.

Add the account

1. Open Settings → Mail → Accounts → Add Account.
2. Choose Other → Add Mail Account.
3. Enter your name, full email address, mailbox password, and a description (for example “Work”).
4. Tap Next and select IMAP.

Incoming Mail Server

• Host Name: mail.yourdomain.com (or the hostname from your welcome email)
• User Name: full email address
• Password: mailbox password

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)

• Host Name: same as incoming
• User Name: full email address
• Password: mailbox password

Tap Next, wait for verification, then save. Open Mail and send a test message.

If verification fails

1. Open the account → Advanced and confirm IMAP uses port 993 with SSL.
2. Under SMTP → primary server, confirm port 465 (SSL) or 587 (STARTTLS) and that authentication is on.
3. Reset the mailbox password in cPanel and update the phone.

Push/notifications depend on iOS settings; IMAP still syncs when Mail is opened or background refresh is enabled.
