A domain and a hosting account are separate products until DNS connects them. The usual approach is to set your domain’s nameservers to the ones assigned to your hosting server.
Find your nameservers
Check your Domain & Host welcome email or the service details in the client area. You will typically see two hostnames, for example:
ns3.example-server.comns4.example-server.com
Use the exact values shown for your account — do not invent nameserver hostnames.
If the domain is registered with us
- Sign in to your Domain & Host client area.
- Open the domain service.
- Update nameservers to the hosting values, or ask support to apply them after provisioning.
If the domain is at another registrar
- Log in to that registrar’s control panel.
- Find Nameservers / DNS management for the domain.
- Replace the old nameservers with the ones from your hosting welcome email.
- Save and wait for DNS propagation (often minutes to a few hours; sometimes up to 24–48 hours).
After DNS updates
- Confirm the website loads on the domain.
- Install or verify SSL so HTTPS works.
- Test email if mailboxes already exist — MX records follow the new nameserver zone.
Alternative: keep current nameservers
If email must stay on another DNS provider temporarily, keep those nameservers and create an A record for @ (and www) pointing to your hosting IP instead. Ask support for the correct IP for your account.
